I managed to catch the end of the latest Ancestry.co.uk advert on the television over Christmas and the New Year, and now the advert is available to watch in full on YouTube.
This advert seems to be a bit more informative than the previous one and even includes a sound piece of advice on how to get started, “start by filling in what you know”.
I’ve been waiting and hoping this would appear on YouTube, because the chances are I am not going to be watching television when it is actually broadcast.
I am not quite sure what to make of it, certainly not what I had imagined. I would have thought their would be more focus on what is on the site, but I will admit some of the images are quite striking, especially the soldier in a trench, who isn’t.
I know genealogists are not really their target audience, but what do you think of the advert?
