The calm before the storm

24 Feb

Tomorrow sees the start of Who Do You Think You? Live 2011 at London Olympia and I will join thousands of others in three days of genealogy talks, shopping, expert advice and networking.

The rest of the year will be disappointingly quiet compared to this weekend. There is the National Family History Fair in Newcastle later in the year, which I will try and attend this year, but that is it for major genealogy events this year. WDYTYA Live is probably going to be the genealogical highlight of the year for me, but you never know what genealogy discoveries are going to turn.

I never did get any t-shirts printed, but if you spot me wandering around Olympia then please do stop and say hello. I will be the one wandering around like a kid in a sweet shop (come to think of it I am sure I won’t be the only one acting like that).

Whether you are there for one, two or three days I hope you have an enjoyable and successful visit.

John, I do hope that you blog about #WDYTYA. Would love to hear what you have to say about the event.

Rest assured there will definitely be some blogging and some photos from the show. Maybe you will be tempted to come over next year?
